India's Biodiversity Story:
The "Biomes of Nilgiris" project is more than just a board game; it represents a transformative journey into one of India's most biodiverse regions, the Nilgiri biosphere. The Nilgiri Biosphere is one of the most rich and vibrant ecosystems in the world, with hundreds of animals and over 3,300 flowering plant species, out of which 132 are endemic to this region. It is also home to nearly 30 different indigenous people groups. However, these mountains are also subject to extensive development, increased human habitation and loss of native biodiversity.
From the creator's studio!
My journey into game development began with the heartwarming collaboration on 'War of Civilizations' (WOC), a 4X strategy board game, with my 14-year-old son. This collaboration, born out of a desire to strengthen our mother-son bond, evolved into BluEncore Studio, a full-fledged Indie Game Studio specializing in creating captivating board games for families and adults. The upcoming release of "Biomes of Nilgiris" marks the beginning of a series of games designed to educate and raise awareness about biodiversity and conservation across various ecosystems in India.
